CPS employees threaten to launch indefinite fast

Andhra Pradesh Contributory Pension Scheme Employees Association (APSPSEA) on Sunday announced that its members would take up indefinite hunger strike if the government failed to respond to its proposed Chalo Vijayawada programme to be taken up on September 1.
The Association district president G.Srinivasa Rao, secretary B.Santosh Kumar and others said that as many as 3,000 employees of Vizianagaram district would take part in the agitation to step up pressure on the government for restoration of old pension system which was in force till 2003. YSRCP North Andhra convener and MLC Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy released Chalo Vijayawada poster in his office and extended cooperation. He said that YSRCP would do justice to employees if voted to power in 2019 elections.
