BJP leaders seek probe into ‘land grab’

Bharatiya Janata Party leaders Dharmapuri Aravind and Baswa Laxminarsaiah on Friday demanded the government of launching a probe into the alleged occupation of a two-acre prime plot belonging to the Women’s College by some persons and their immediate arrest. Taking the media persons about the site in question at Kanteswar on Armour Road, they alleged the ruling party leaders were behind the scam and therefore no action was taken against tahsildar while the VRO was suspended.
The Women’s College, an aided college, established 53 years ago by a society has 19 acres of prime land of which two acres with a market value of Rs. 20 crores was allegedly grabbed by some persons.
