Mrs. Longkei Phom, mother of Minister for Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) S. Pangnyu Phom, passed away in Dimapur Monday. She was 92. She is survived by her husband, five sons, one daughter, 26 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Born in 1925, late Mrs. Longkei Phom was one of the firsts from Yachem village to embrace Christianity. Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, expressed pain over her demise and conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
