A 19 yer old youth named Dilwar Hussein Mullick is the first victim from Bengal in flood ravaged Kerala. Dilwar, a resident of Nakashipara was gone to Kozhikode in April to work as a construction labourer. With an ailing father, mother and sister he went to Kerala for work to support his family. Father of the boy said,”Dilwar rang his mother Nazma Bibi on Wednesday. He said he was in camp and they were marooned without any food. We knew he was in troiuble but we were helpless. His co-workers informed that he drowned at Saturday. His body is at a local hospital.” Trinamool Congress's Nakashipara MLA Kallol Khan said, "Several people are stuck there. This is the first death reported."
