India lost great statesman in Vajpayee: Dhavalikar

Minister for Public Works Ramakrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavalikar, paying rich tributes to the recently-departed former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, said that India, in the passing away of Vajpayee, has lost one of its tallest leaders and statesmen.
“Atalji always worked towards uniting India and keeping the countrymen together,” he said, adding that this approach of Atalji was also seen when he led a large coalition of political parties with diverse backgrounds and ideologies, to run the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government successfully.
Dhavalikar also observed that Vajpayee took care of the country like a true statesman. “Furthermore, he had a special concern for the poor and downtrodden people of India,” he added, pointing out that Goa, as well as Goans too, had a special place in Atalji’s heart.
