The Telugu Desam Party Telangana State unit has charged Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao with trying to dilute democratic institutions like the Assembly, as could be seen from the developments related to the expulsion of two Congress MLAs K. Venkat Reddy and S.A. Sampath Kumar from the Assembly.
The Chief Minister did not have confidence in these institutions and they were not allowed to function independently. The notices served by the court on the Speaker’s office for the first time exposed the manner in which the government was functioning, TDP polit bureau member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy said.
