Dravidar Kazhagam president K. Veeramani on Saturday announced that former DMK leader M. Karunanidhi’s statue would be installed at the spot on Anna Salai where it once stood, before it was demolished in the violence following the death of former Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran.
“Since there is an order against installation of statues on public roads, we will get the support of the government to install the statue,” he said in a statement.
