Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary has responded positively to the proposal of a sports meet for MLAs, said A. Venkateshwar Reddy, Chairman of Sports Authority of Telangana State.
Mr Reddy told the media on Thursday, after meeting the Speaker, that the sports meet evoked a lot of interest from Mr Chary. “The Speaker said as elections would be held any time, they would have to organise competitions for MLAs during the upcoming Legislative Session,” the SATS official said. “The Speaker also said that the government would consider bearing the cost of organising the meet and suggested us to host it as early as possible,” Mr Reddy added.
