In a significant move, the Gujarat government has announced a 9-day vacation on the occasion of Navratri for all schools and colleges across the state. Navratri - a nine-day festival - is one of the most popular and colourful festival which is celebrated with zest and enthusiasm by the people of the state. Holidays in schools will be implemented across all boards.
The decision was taken in a meeting attended Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, State Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and Minister of State for Education (Primary and Higher Education) and Pilgrimage, Vibhavariben Dave in Bhavnagar. According to media reports, several senior BJP leaders were also present at the meeting.
