Congress MLA and former Minister J. Geeta Reddy said that they got sanctioned Rs. 5.77 crore for the Naranja barrage works while in power. Responding to the report ‘Narinja barrage remains unfulfilled promise’ that appeared in these columns on Monday, Ms Geeta Reddy said that she made herculean efforts to get Rs. 5.77 crore for the barrage by convincing the then Irrigation Ministers Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Sudarshan Reddy.
