War of words between Congress and NPP over Ranikor continues in Meghalaya

The Meghalaya Congress has ridiculed the National People’s Party (NPP) for its statement on a possible jolt which will hit the former in a month and a half time even as it exuded confidence of holding the party together.
“The congress is ready to face any threats and will ensure a win in the Ranikor by poll as it had always been a congress bastion,”  said Congress Spokesperson Zenith Sangma said here on Saturday.
The NPP state President, WR Kharlukhi on Friday had stated that the congress should be ready for yet another big jolt to hit them in one and a half month time. He also stated that both NPP and its coalition partner UDP would field candidates that will reduce the congress to garner a minuscule number of votes. “We have a well thought strategy in place,” Kharlukhi had said.
