Expelled Cong. MLAs seek contempt proceedings

Congress MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and S. A. Sampath Kumar filed a contempt plea in Hyderabad High Court accusing Telangana government of failing to comply with a single judge order that had set aside their expulsion from Telangana Assembly. The matter is likely to come up for hearing on Friday before Justice B. Siva Sankara Rao who had passed an order on April 14 setting aside Telangana Assembly’s resolution to expel the two MLAs. The petitioners stated that the certified copies of the single judge order were passed on to the Secretary to Government Affairs, Law and Legislature and Secretary, Telangana Legislature Secretariat.
