The State government has decided to distribute 500 gift packs each in the 800 mosques across the State from May 31 as part of Ramzan festivities. Of the total mosques, 400 are located in the State capital and the remaining in different parts. In addition to the gift packs, the government has sanctioned Rs. 1 lakh each to all the mosques for hosting Iftar. Deputy Chief Minister Mohd. Mahmood Ali made the announcement during a review meeting held on Monday.
