Postal services hit as staff skip duty for the second consecutive day

The postal services suffered a jolt as the employees, who are on a warpath against the management, boycotted duties for the second consecutive day on Wednesday.
The Joint Council of Action (JCA) of postal and RMS employees, under the banner of National Federation of Postal Employees, Federation of National Postal Organisations and All India Postal Employees Union GDS raised a banner of revolt, demanding implementation of the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission for the Grameen Dak Sevaks (GDS) or rural postal employees.
The Head Post Office wore a deserted look on Wednesday, with the employees abstaining from duty en masse.
