Mumbai: The compulsion of having an e-tender for government works expenses worth more than Rs 3 lakh which was relaxed for MP/MLA funded works up to Rs 10 lakh, has now been withdrawn as per high court's direction. Now E-tendering is must for any work costing more than Rs 3 lakh.
As per policy of the state government E-tendering is compulsory for the all governmental work costing more than Rs 3 lakh. But MPs and MLAs demanded relaxation for the same.
They generally recommend rural or internal roads, toilets, renovation of Samaj Mandir halls and other such works. Few works have expense less than Rs 10 lakh.
