Five-time chief minister of Nagaland Dr. S.C. Jamir landed at Dimapur Airport

Former Governor of Odisha and five-time chief minister of Nagaland, Dr. S.C. Jamir along with his wife, Imkonglemla Jamir, on Sunday landed at Dimapur Airport. Dr. Jamir completed his tenure as governor of Odisha on March 20. Dr. Jamir and his wife were received by members of Ongpangkong Senso Telongjem Dimapur (OSTD) and Chumukedima Ao Union at the airport.
Dr. S.C. Jamir, considered a legendary statesman, had taken over as Odisha Governor on March 9, 2013 and retired on March 20, 2018. He had also served as Governor of Goa (17 July 17, 2004 – July 21, 2008), was given additional charge of Gujarat (July 24, 2009 –November 26, 2009) and served as Governor of Maharashtra (July 19, 2008 –January 21, 2010).
Dr. S.C Jamir, the first Lok Sabha member from Nagaland, was also appointed as parliamentary secretary by the then Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. He also served as Union Deputy Minister of Railways, Labour & Rehabilitation and also Union Deputy Minister of Community Development & Cooperation, Food and Agriculture.
