CPI launches campaign against anti-people policies of governments
The Communist Party of India launched its State-wide week-long campaign to highlight the anti-people policies pursued by both the Central and the State governments at Anjetti, near here, on Thursday.
The campaign on the theme “Rescuing India and protecting Tamil Nadu” will focus on the pro-corporate policies of the Centre as such policies are badly affecting the lives of poor people, agricultural labourers and all sections of the society.
C. Mahendran, National Executive Committee member of the CPI, launched the campaign, in the presence of T. Ramachandran, former MLA and State executive member. The campaign vehicle will pass through various districts and will reach Tiruchi on July 5. The CPI has launched similar campaigns from five other centres in the State which, too, will culminate at Tiruchi on the same day.
