BJP Legislators Wear 'I am Savarkar' Cap to Protest Against Rahul Gandhi's Remark

  • On Monday, the BJP’s legislators wore caps with ‘I am Savarkar’ written on them as they arrived for the winter session of the Maharashtra assembly.
     
  • The legislators including Devendra Fadnavis wore caps to protest against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remark against VD Savarkar.
     
  • Fadnavis said, “Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should tender an unconditional apology over his remarks on Savarkar."

  • He further said, "He does not seem to have studied India’s history of the Independence movement.”
     
  • This demand comes after Rahul Gandhi in a rally said that his name is Rahul Gandhi and not Rahul Savarkar and he will not apologize.
