Positive response on Mhadei soon: CM
- Pramod Sawant said he has again written to the Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change reminding him of the assurance to sort out the issue in 15 days.
- He said that he has been assured a positive solution on the State’s request to withdraw the letter to Karnataka.
- On the opposition’s mounting pressure, he assured that he is seized of the matter and more concerned than anybody else.
- The Congress will hold a dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on December 14, while Goa Forward Party has been critical of the government over the issue.
- He also said the government has approached the Supreme Court to grant permission for handling mining dumps in the State.
