CM Pinarayi Vijayan launches Kerala Bank

CM of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan launched the Kerala Bank, an amalgamation of district cooperative banks in the state.
As cited by PTI, Vijayan said it will provide 'unlimited opportunities' for the state.
According to the sources, 13 district cooperative banks (DCBs) are merged with the Kerala state cooperative bank to form the Kerala Bank.
Congress led-UDF had been opposing the idea that Kerala Bank would destroy the traditional cooperative sector.
However, Vijayan in his view said, "When all these merge together and form one bank, it will soon become the biggest bank in the state."
