AIADMK holds General Council Meeting after 2 years, 23 resolutions passed

On Sunday, the first AIADMK General council meeting was held after almost two years, several issues were discussed.
A total of 23 resolutions were passed during the meeting.
The meeting was also held to discuss possible changes to party bylaws as well as to strengthen the hold over the party held by O Paneerselvam (coordinator) and Edappadi Palaniswamy (co-coordinator).
The party also decided to request the Centre to implement air and rail connectivity projects which had been announced for the state earlier.
Further, the AIADMK also requested the central government to ensure equal rights and safety for Tamils in Sri Lanka.
