Twitter to support JNU protest; #ShutdownJNU is in latest trend

A day after a massive protest erupted outside the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus, social media was flooded with #ShutDownJNU hashtag.
Students from different educational institutions, including Banaras Hindu University, DU’s Campus Law Centre and School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London, expressed their solidarity with the protesters.
Also, Umar Khalid and Yogendra Yadav, extended their support to JNU students protesting against the hostel fee hike.

Let us tell you that the HRD ministry has increased the hostel fee to 300%.
A member of the JNU administration stated that “this was done to avoid non-payment of dues and ensure supply of raw materials for preparing meals.”
