Arunachal Pradesh Government Hikes Dearness Allowance (DA) by 5%

The Arunachal Pradesh government has hiked the Dearness Allowance (DA) for all the government employees in the State from existing 12 per cent to 17 per cent of the basic pay.
According to an official order issued by the State Government recently, the new DA would be effective from July 1 this year.
Earlier the government on October 26 last processed an office memorandum for grant of dearness allowances with revised rates effective from July 1.
The DA arrears for the period from July 1, would be paid in cash to all the employees and the expenditure on account of the DA would be met from existing budget provision of the departments concerned in the current fiscal, sources at the finance department informed.
The revised rates of DA would be applicable to regular State Government employees only and would not be applied to private and non governmental institutions receiving grants-in-aids from the State Government, the sources added.
