Govt built 34 lakh toilets in 3 years across Assam: Sonowal
Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that the state government has constructed 34 lakhs of toilets across Assam in three years.
Sonowal said the Assam government started constructing toilets in response to the call made by PM Narendra Modi.
Paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary,CM said that the Prime Minister has undertaken several initiatives inspired by Bapu’s ideals of Swacchata.
In this regard he said that due to people’s active participation, the Swacch Bharat Mission became a mass movement.
He also urged people to take forward the Fit India Movement in a bid to build a healthy society.
