BJP hits out at Congress MLA for objecting to name Metro rail after Raja Bhoj

  • The state BJP slammed Congress MLA Arif Masood for raising objections over naming Bhopal Metro as `Bhoj Metro Rail'.

  • BJP leaders said that  it is sheer indiscipline to raise questions over Raja Bhoj, the 11th Century ruler of the Parmar dynasty, which once ruled the entire region.

  • During the foundation-laying of Bhopal Metro Rail project, chief minister Kamal Nath announced that Metro will be called `Bhoj Metro Rail'.

  • To this Congress lawmaker Masood said, "I request CM Kamal Nath to name the project as Bhopal Metro, as the city has several other things named after `Raja Bhoj”.
