Article 370 gives rise to separatist movement in J&K, claims J P Nadda

BJP working President J P Nadda on sampark abhiyan , a party outreach programme in Jaipur , blamed Article 370 for separatism in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the programme  he met with retired army officers who had served their duty in J&K and tried to take their views related to the abrogation of Article 370.
He stated that, separatist powers had been on the rise in the Valley even though the state was a part of the Union. After the abrogation of the special status under Article 370, J&K has now become part of the mainstream.
Pointing out to the retired officers he said,"These officers have spent a long time to secure J&K and they have given suggestions that the Centre can take forward, so that the people in the Valley also join the mainstream,”.
On August 2019, the Central Government revoked Article 370 which gives special status to J&K claiming that the Article gives encouragement to the separatist as well as terrorist movement in the state.
