Union Minister of state Pratap Sarangi admires Kamal Nath for protecting stray cows

Appreciated by the Union minister of state for animal husbandry Pratap Chandra Sarangi  for conserving cow progenies and building 1,000 gaushalas, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister expresses his gratitude and said that protecting cows was never a political affair for him but only a matter of devotion and pride.
Sarangi praised the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh for constructing 1,000 gaushalas and said that efforts made by the state government for the conservation of cows were definitely commendable.
Congress in his poll manifesto mentioned that it will open 1,000 cow shelters for abandoned cattle over the next four months and would accommodate one lakh stray cows. For this whole project the budget was fixed upto Rs.450 crore.
On August 9, Kamal Nath revealed that industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla has also agreed to build 100 hi-tech gaushalas in the state from the Aditya Birla Group’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund during the next 18 months.
However, BJP has termed this decision as Congress's 'soft hindutva' to impress hindu voters.
