Tripura government reduces security of former CM; Cong rues

The BJP-IPFT coalition government has reduced the personnel security of former chief minister Samir Ranjan Barman.
Earlier former chief minister of Tripura got security of CRPF jawans and escort.
But it has been removed from Saturday night.
Government officials told that, now Samir Ranjan Barman will get the security of Tripura police and his ‘Z’ category escort was removed.
But Samir Barman did not react in this regard. However, on Sunday night some senior Congress leaders along with former MLA Gopal Roy met with him and give him moral support.
After the meeting Gopal Roy told the media that he is shocked after hearing this.
Ex-MLA cum ex-CLP leader Gopal Roy expressed his anger over the decision of the BJP government.
Criticizing the government’s decision Gopal Roy said, “I am very much shocked with the decision taken by the government. It is the rarest of the rare incidents across India.”
It is notable that, just few days back the government has withdrawn the personal security of former rebel leaders of Tripura.
And after forming the government the BJP has reduced or withdrawn the security of opposition CPI-M MLAs, former MLAs and former ministers also.
They have also reduced the security of former chief minister and present opposition leader Manik Sarkar.
