Arunachal MP reviews progress of central schemes in parliamentary segment

Arunachal Pradesh parliamentarian Tapir Gao on Friday reviewed the progress status of various centrally sponsored schemes.
These schemes are being implemented across the entire eastern segment around Bordumsa in the state.
In this regard Gao held a meeting at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office at Tezu in Lohit District.
The meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DDCMC) held under ‘DISHA’ (Development of Infrastructure Schemes and Advisory Committee) initiatives was attended by around 25 MLA cutting across party ideologies, 11 deputy commissioners of the jurisdiction and other vital departmental chiefs.
 
Gao delt at length the clear objectives of around 28 central government flagship programme and the role of DISHA in realizing ends in regard to the health, nutrition, educational, roads, communications, electricity, women and children etc.
He wanted from the district committee to accomplish the projects in a time -bound manner without jeopardy.
He also wanted the administration and executing agencies to be pro-active in completing the pending projects and help accelerating the pace of development for common cause.
“The meeting was fruitful and it chiefly centred round the initiatives and ways and means to make it a powerful and potent device of participative governance,” said Mr Gao during a media briefing after the meeting.
The government schemes should be implemented in a time -bound manner and the resources spent on such schemes should be commensurate with the progress at the grass root level, Gao said in his address.
“The district wise detail progress reports of the various developmental projects and government schemes and achievement ratio were presented digitally by means of slide show presentations,” informed deputy commissioner Changlang Rajendra Kumar Sharma often known as architect of new Namsai district.
While Samlung Mossang, the Independent MLA reportedly driving hard to change the poor developmental scenario of Bordumsa-Diyun Constituency in Changlang District hailed the initiatives and said ‘the meeting under Gao was simply motivational and served as a booster  to accelerate the pace of development in all the respective constituencies of the segment’.
However, Gao on his maiden visit to Lohit District on Friday on electing as the MP also took part in a sapling plantation programme and didn’t forget to express his gratefulness towards the electorates for reposing faith in him in the recently concluded general election as the MP.
Gao who has also been the state BJP president during his two days of official visit to Lohit District would meet the party karyakartas and office bearers of various the baseline organizations here at Tezu guest house.
