MLA proposes new administrative building in Mapusa

Local MLA Joshua D’Souza has said that he and his Calangute counterpart Michael Lobo would move a proposal to the government to construct an administrative building, to house all the government offices in Mapusa under one roof. The MLA disclosed this while addressing the gathering at the Independence Day function at Mapusa on Thursday. “The property identified for the new building is around 4,000 sq mts and it will be convenient for the citizens from across Bardez to visit a single administrative complex for their work. It will also have an underground parking facility for the benefit of those coming to the market by paying a nominal fee,” D’Souza said.

On the occasion, Lobo informed that the foundation stone for the new administrative building would be laid within the next six months. “We will bring the CM and show him how people are having difficulty coming to this building, which was designed 40 years ago and now needs to be expanded,” Lobo said.
