These utensils are being made through the Mati Kala Board under the Village Industries Department. Generally, while the use of things made of clay is becoming negligible in everyday life, in Chhattisgarh, efforts are being made to promote pottery items and potters. The Mati Kala Board is manufacturing dinner sets, cup sets and cooking utensils which are made by baking the soil which takes two to three days. These clay pots are washable and durable, and their price is also pocket-friendly. Dinner sets, water bottles and cup sets are all in the range of 500–1000 rupees.
