Revenue work across almost 50 per cent of patwar circles has come to a grinding halt ever since private assistants hired by patwaris to assist them have been withdrawn.
As a result, no work related to mutation of land, farad of properties, grant of caste and income certificates, identification of beneficiaries under the Food for All Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Nidhi Yojana, etc, is being done in 2,100 revenue patwar circles for the past 10 days. This has put the common man in trouble, especially students who need certificates for admissions to colleges and universities besides distressed farmers.
