J&K's Article 370 Scrapped: Kirron Kher Hails PM Modi Fulfilling His Decades-long Endeavour

Home Minister Amit Shah has proposed the abrogation of Article 370 from the state of Jammu and Kashmir while addressing Rajya Sabha on Monday, August 5.  He announced that the government has decided to repeal Article 370 and 35 A of the Constitution which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir, and bars people from rest of the country from buying land within the state premises. The government has also decided to bifurcate the state into two Union territories – Jammu and Kashmir, which will have a legislature, and Ladakh, which will be without a legislature.
After the resolution was tabled in the parliament, several political leaders came forward to hail the decision of the Modi government. Joining the bandwagon was Chandigarh MP, actress turned politician, Kirron Kher.
