West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has turned to Prashant Kishore's strategy as an election strategist in the country for the upcoming state assembly elections. TMC leaders said that in this year's Lok Sabha elections, BJP has won 18 seats in 42 seats in West Bengal, just four less than Mamata's party.
This has shattered the myth of Trinamool being invincible. The TMC believes that 'professional help' is needed to face the ideology of the aggressive BJP in the state and improve the image of the party. "With the help of Prashant Kishore, we hope the party will redouble its old success in the assembly," the senior TMC leader said on condition of anonymity.
