The constable, Paramesh, who misbehaved with a junior doctor who was protesting at Unani Hospital, has been suspended. Commissioner of Police Anjan Kumar has ordered for an investigation into the case. Junior medical students protested against the shift of Ayurvedic hospital from Charminar to Erragadda on Wednesday.
In the process of dispersing the protesters and moving them into police van, a police misbehaved with one of the girl students. He squashed her legs and pinched her with his nails. The student shouted and cried in pain.
A few students took the video of the incident and it has gone viral on the social media. The student associations demanded that the police should be suspended immediately. With the incident becoming controversial, the police suspended the constable.
