Kaleshwaram delayed water to Sundilla: Jeevan Reddy

Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy has alleged that water flow to Sundilla barrage was delayed by 15 days as the water that could have flown into it due to gravity if a barrage was constructed at Tumidihatti as planned by the Congress.
At an interaction with media here on Tuesday, Mr. Reddy said not only the re-designed Kaleshwaram project has delayed water to Sundilla by 15 days but also the government has to spend crores for power bills as the water is being lifted at Medigadda and Annaram now unlike the original design planned by the Congress party.
The re-design has put an additional burden of ₹ 40,000 crores on the State exchequer.
Media visit
Mr. Reddy demanded that the media team to be taken by the Chief Minister to Kaleshwaram project visit should also be taken to Tummidihatti so that they can judge the project properly.
He said if the government failed to take the media team to Tummidihatti, the Congress party would take them for a visit. Kaleshwaram project is now useful for tourism only rather than actually benefiting the farmers, he felt.
