Telugu Desam MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar forgot his party’s tally in Lok Sabha while speaking on appropriation bill in the Assembly on Monday. He said that the YSRCP has 25 Lok Sabha members inviting jibes from treasury benches and corrections from his party colleagues. The fact remains that the TDP won three MP seats, while the YSRCP won 22 MP seats in general elections.
Listing out the achievement of the TDP government during the last five years, the Visakhapatnam (South) MLA reminded the government on Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s attempts to halt the progress of irrigation projects in the State.
In the same flow, referring to Special Category Status (SCS) issue, Mr. Ganesh Kumar recalled that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman had categorically rejected the SCS status to Andhra Pradesh. “The YSRCP, which has 25 MPs, should mount pressure on the Centre on the SCS,” he said.
