Nationalist Congress Party plans overhaul, looks for fresh faces

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) to avert the exodus of leaders joining hands with other parties, has decided to overhaul its structure by bringing new and fresh leadership in party.
Sources in NCP said that the most of the appointee are made by the NCP supremo Sharad Pawar's daughter and Baramati MP Supriya Sule. "NCP Mumbai unit President Sachin Ahir and NCP state women wing president Chitra Wagh who recently left the party are close to Supriya Sule and state NCP president Jayant Patil. After the Lok Sabha debacle, there were demands to sack these leaders citing accountability, but the party state president protected them. Now, the party is facing the bigger embarrassment due to these power hungry leaders," said senior NCP leader.
