Komatireddy Venkata Reddy denies ‘BJP plans’
Communication gap between the Komatireddy brothers was out in open with the younger brother and Congress MLA, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, announcing that his elder brother and Member of Parliament from Bhongir Komatireddy Venkata Reddy would join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the latter denying it outright.
Mr. Rajgopal Reddy, who was in the Assembly premises said that though he was in the Congress as of now, he would soon join the BJP while his brother Venkata Reddy would follow him after some time. However, later in the evening in a press note, Mr. Venkata Reddy denied outright his brother’s claims and said he would never leave the Congress in his lifetime.
On repeated questioning from the reporters, Mr. Rajagopal Reddy said he would not resign as the Congress MLA as there was pressure from constituency voters not to resign. On rumours of the BJP denying entry to him due to the delay, he said he would take time and was hopeful that all the youngsters would support and join along with him.
Dubbak MLA from TRS, Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy, who joined the conversation, advised Mr. Rajgopal Reddy not to join BJP or else the goodwill enjoyed by the Komatireddy brothers among the people would vanish. “You brothers have certain image and don’t jump into BJP blindly,” he advised.
