The Government of Punjab has decided to extend the reservation in seats for sportspersons and children and grandchildren of Sikh Riot Victims for the admission to undergraduate medical courses in private medical colleges in the state.
Earlier these reservations existed only in government medical colleges in the state and the government of Punjab according to its amended notification submitted before the Punjab and Haryana High Court in Chandigarh by Advocate General Atul Nanda on July 11, 2019, has now decided to extend the reservation category into the private medical colleges as well.
