Kutte jaisi mentality: Congress minister slams BJP, stirs fresh controversy over MP dog transfer

As BJP mocks the Kamal Nath-led Congress government over transferring 46 police dogs and their handlers across Madhya Pradesh, a Congress minister hit back saying their mentality is like that of dogs.
According to ANI, Madhya Pradesh minister Sajjan Singh Verma said, "Yeh unki mansikta hai kutte jaisi aur kya kare (What can be done if their mentality is like dogs)".
This invited a sharp retort from BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma. According to ANI, he said, "If Sajjan Singh Verma is calling us dogs then I would like to tell him that yes we are dogs, we are faithful dogs of the people of Madhya Pradesh and we will keep raising our voices for our people and our security forces."

The controversy started when in a recent order the MP government ordered the transfer of police dog handlers along with their dogs.
According to the order, handlers of tracker, sniffer and narco dogs from 23 Battalion Dog Squad have been given new postings in different districts of the state and have been ordered to rejoin immediately along with their dogs, reported ANI.
In the latest postings, three sniffers, one each from Chhindwara, Satna, and Betul have been shifted at CM Kamal Nath's house in Bhopal. The step has drawn scathing criticism from opposition BJP that has grabbed the opportunity to attack the government.
Taking a dig at the MP government, BJP's state vice president Vijesh Lunawat had tweeted, "The Great Kamal Nath government did not spare even dogs from the transferred business. Dog squad transferred in Madhya Pradesh."
Rameshwar Sharma, too, had invoked the issue of transfer of dogs to allege that the Congress government would even sell land and sky if they could.
