TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday took a dig at BJP leader Mukul Roy and said that Roy's claim that 107 MLAs in West Bengal are going to join BJP soon is baseless. The TMC MP advised Roy to stop looking at other parties and focus on the Councillors of his constituency.Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's MP-nephew said Roy is 'Made-in-China Panchari', and Roy must recall how he had failed to stop his own councillors from leaving the BJP, how will he manage to bring 107 MLAs from TMC and other parties in BJP's fold.
BJP leader Mukul Roy on Saturday had said at an event that many TMC leaders are in talks to joining BJP, leaving the ruling in the state behind. He also said that BJP has list of MLAs from Congress, TMC and CPM who are keen to switching side, and most of them are from TMC.Since BJP thumping victory in the Lok Sabha polls, in which party managed to make inroads across West Bengal. BJP won 18 seats out of 42 seats with 40% vote share, whereas TMC retained only 22 seats after losing 12seats compared to 2014 general elections.
