Former J&K Chief Minister and president Peoples Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti has served a legal notice to ‘Republic TV’ Editor Arnab Goswabi for his remarks against the former.
Sharing a photo of the legal notice on his Twitter handle, Syed Suhail Bukhari, Mehbooba’s Media Advisor, wrote: “JKPDP President @MehboobaMufti serves legal notice to @republic Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami for his malicious, defamatory & Scandalous statement against miss Mufti.”
“Legal Notice issued on behalf of my client Mehbooba Mufti… against the defamatory, malicious and scandalous contents of your programme “Arnab Goswami on the Debate at 10” broadcasted on your channel Republic TV on July 5th, 2019 at 10 PM and highlighted with the hashtag “#KashmirFightsTukdeGang” and also published on your channel’s official YouTube account “Republic World” which has over 1,225,000 subscribers, and which were published with the sole intention to cause harm to the reputation of my client,” reads the notice.
