BJP in a huddle as Battle for Delhi draws close

The BJP is putting all its efforts and strength with an aim to win the Delhi Assembly elections this year. According to sources, the East Delhi Municipal Corporation councillors on Friday held a meeting to discuss the strategy for the upcoming elections.
EDMC minister Sidharthan and Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari were also present in the meeting. To avoid infights with increasing number of aspirants, the BJP has come up with a formula to set aside the hopes of the 170 sitting councillors. During the meeting, Sidharthan told the councillors not to wait for tickets to contest the elections as the BJP would not give any ticket to them.
According to sources, Tiwari asked the councillors to pay attention to their constituencies, give their best to make BJP win. However, on being asked about the "new formula", Tiwari said, "This is not right, there is no truth in this. The one who is worthy of winning will get a ticket."
