Political leaders from the Northeast have taken to social media to convey their best wishes to the 14thDalai Lama on his 84th birthday.
The Tibetan spiritual leader, whose real name is Lamo Thondup, was born on July 6, 1935.
Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu conveyed his birthday wishes to the 14th Dalai Lama through his official Twitter handle.
Khandu tweeted: “I humbly wish His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama a very Happy Birthday. He has led an unparalleled life & touched this world with his message of peace, compassion and universal brotherhood. May the holy soul continue to benefit this world for many many more years to come.”
