Girish Chodankar, who recently resigned as the state Congress president, said on Wednesday that he would continue to helm the party till a new president was picked since he did not want his resignation to affect the party’s functioning. 
Speaking to TOI, Chodankar also said that his decision tohang up his boots as the state Congress president was final, but if specifically asked by the party high command to he would “apply his mind” and decide at that stage.
