Paritala Sriram likely to be made TDP in-charge of Dharmavaram

Former Minister Paritala Sunitha’s son Paritala Sriram, who unsuccessfully contested the 2019 Assembly elections from Rapthadu constituency of Anantapur district, has emerged the sole contender for the post of party in-charge for the Dharmavaram Assembly constituency.
After two days of consultations with party cadre in the Dharmavaram Assembly constituency, several leaders favoured Mr. Sriram as in-charge to lead the party unit in the constituency with the exit of former Dharmavaram MLA Gonuguntla Suryanarayana (Varadapuram Suri) joining the BJP, said party district president B.K. Parthasarathi at a press conference here on Wednesday.
“Based on a directive from party leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu, we held detailed consultations with party cadres in all the mandals of the Dharmavaram Assembly constituency, and 95% have suggested the name of Paritala Sriram,” Mr. Parthasarathi said.
The district unit will convey its decision to Mr. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday after he returns from Kuppam visit and it was up to Mr. Naidu to decide on naming the person to fill the void created by Mr. Suryanarayana.
