Karnataka BJP MLA Suresh Kumar calls off hunger strike over KAS fiasco

BJP MLA from Bengaluru’s Rajajinagar Suresh Kumar, who undertook a hunger strike as a protest against Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) officials for not announcing the interview dates for Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) aspirants of the 2015 batch, has withdrawn it. The strike was to be held in front of the KPSC office, Bengaluru.
As he sat for the protest, KPSC officials rushed to the venue and informed him that the interview date was set for July 29. But the MLA insisted that a written assurance be given in this regard.
So as per the MLA’s request, secretary of the KPSC Jannu gave him in writing that the interview date would be set for July 29.
