Arunachal CM appointed member of committee for transforming agriculture

Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu has been selected as a member of the ‘High Powered Committee of Chief Ministers for Transformation of Indian Agriculture’ constituted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi .
The Terms of Reference (TOR) of the Committee would be to discuss measures for transformation of agriculture and raising farmer’s income.
The Committee should also suggest policy measures to boost agricultural export, raise growth in food processing and attract investments in modern market infrastructure, value chain and logistics.
It should also suggest measures for upgrading agri-technology to global standards.
The Committee should also suggest modalities for adoption and time bound implementation of various agricultural reforms.
It should suggest mechanism for linking of market reforms with e-NAM, GRAM and other relevant centrally sponsored schemes.
