Division Bench of the Telangana High Court comprising Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice Shameem Akhtar on Tuesday directed the counsel appearing for the State government to bring cheques to the court on July 18 for handing them to the petitioners or oustees of Komravelli Mallanasagar counsel Ch Ravi Kumar. The petitioners earlier refused to take those cheques from the officials.

The court directed the governments to pay due compensation to the land oustees in accordance with the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) package prepared by the state government for the Mallanna Sagar reservoir project land oustees.
